Covid-19 Extraordinary Fund. 'Responding to older victim-survivors of domestic and sexual violence during Covid-19’

This research involves the delivery and evaluation of Dewis Choice, a co-produced initiative in the Carmarthenshire during the Covid-19 pandemic.

‘Creating safer spaces and building social connectivity during CV19 for older victim-survivors of domestic abuse where dementia co-exists’

The three main objectives are to: A) capture the contextual factors that facilitate a sense of a safer space and increase options for positive social connections for older people, B) develop the Dewis Choice safety planning toolkit for older clients who are living with dementia and experiencing domestic abuse; and C) test and evaluate the safety planning toolkit.

‘Utilising new spaces and networks in building the response to Covid 19 for older victim –survivors of abuse and harm’

This research involves co-production to establish: A) an older survivor’s forum, B) local practitioner forums, C) online bite-size training where there may be gaps in current knowledge on older people and domestic abuse.
