We’re inspired and excited to bring this energy to our first-ever newsletter. 📽️Launch of domestic abuse animation in British Sign Language

On June 15, we celebrated World Elder Abuse Awareness Day by launching a British Sign Language version of our ‘Hidden Harms’ animation. Natalie Hancock, VAWDASV Regional Advisor MWW, said, “by sharing the in BSL, we can move closer to a more inclusive, equitable and accessible provision for older victims of VAWDASV”.

📚 Domestic Abuse and Dementia toolkit

To date we’ve trained over 24,000 practitioners over the United Kingdom to develop their knowledge of working with older victim survivors of domestic abuse. We’ve been providing further training to Wales Based practitioners with the help of the National Lottery Community fund. Don’t worry if you missed the first 2 sessions, we’ll be running 3 more free sessions from September, and we have 82 spaces left.
