BIOGRAPHY
Sarah Wydall is Principal Investigator on the Dewis Choice project and Director of the Centre for Age, Gender and Social Justice at Aberystwyth University, Wales. Sarah’s research uses inclusive and participatory methods to co-produce solutions that tackle gendered harms. In the last five years her research has focused on justice responses to domestic abuse and violence in later life.
As a feminist and LGBTQ activist, Sarah has worked to raise the profile of domestic abuse in later life. Activities involve co-producing a bespoke service ‘Dewis Choice’ for older people, developing survivor, volunteer and practitioner forums and co-producing short LGBTQ films. In addition, training and guidance drawn from the longitudinal findings of Dewis Choice have been produced.
